Norris Contracting & Renovations is a central North Carolina-based commercial project management company – overseeing construction, reconstruction and maintenance projects nationwide. With over 30 years of experience, our specialities include reconstruction project oversight through our BuildBack Central System and managing large and small-scale commercial and residential reconstruction projects. We are committed to providing excellence through every stage of each project we manage and adhere to the belief that clear, consistent communication is worth a pound of cure. We invest in long-term working relationships and grow with the businesses and contractors that partner with us.
Gary Norris
Founder & President
Gary began his entrepreneurial journey as a young man, and by the mid 90’s he had both Project Management and Construction Oversight well represented within his tool bag – cutting his teeth on hotels, big box shopping centers, hospitals, and retail spaces. Gary spent years in the business consulting space through his company, Norris Ventures, but transitioned into full-time project managment in 2023 with the founding of NCR. Gary provides executive oversight for all of NCR's divisions while also overseeing distribution of the Phoenix Coatings System, a line of elastomeric commercial roofing products he co-developed in 2023. He is also the author of 2 books: Dirt Road Doctorate, and, Talk to Me – The Unstoppable Power of Conversational Sales.
Gary is a man who will always roll up his sleeves and jump in to help – and he is grateful for the journey that has led him here. When he’s not working, Gary enjoys playing the guitar, spending time with his family, and tinkering around on their 1890’s farm.
Marlo Norris
Lead Project Coordinator
Marlo began her business journey as an entrepreneur in the frozen yogurt and coffee world. She founded and grew a regional franchise system across the southeast US which she credits as the greatest possible teacher for business development, expansion, logistics and construction. Marlo later transitioned those skills as she began working alongside Gary in Norris Ventures, where they consulted businesses in expansion and growth until Gary founded NCR in 2023. At that point, Marlo stepped back a bit and focused her support behind the scenes with editing, copywriting and lending her expertise wherever it was helpful. However, in Q4 of 2025, she stepped back into a fulltime position and now serves as the Lead Project Coordinator for NCR's BuildBack Central System where she works directly with referral partners, insurance adjusters, and homeowners to oversee project reconstruction.
Her greatest joy comes from having all her children and grandchilden gathered around the farmhouse dinner table with she and Gary. That's her absolute favorite.
Carey Clark
Controller
A graduate of Perdue University with degrees in Biochemistry and Biological Engineering, Carey is the mortar that holds all of our bricks together. She oversees contractor and subcontractor compliance, as well as handling all of our account contracts, payables and receivables.
Additionally, Carey has an extensive background in non-profit leadership and education, making her both empathetic and energetic – skills that complement her work at NCR every day! Her feedback and perspective always lend wisdom and insignt into our team decisions and she's an invaluable part of what we do.
When she’s not at her desk, she enjoys spending time with her 4 adult children, traveling to Indiana to visit family, and participating in half-marathons in different parts of the country. Carey’s got the hustle it takes to help our clients cross their project finish lines as winners, every time.
Ari Norris
Lead Systems Administrator
Ari began her work with NCR in 2023, exclusively in research, using her GenZ internet skills to the fullest. She then added systems lead for NCR's FaciliTrack System to her repitore, providing oversight between our maintenance customers and contractor dispatching. In Q4 of 2025, she also joined Marlo in NCR's reconstruction division as the lead contractor liason for BBC and serves as lead research developer for our national contractors network.
Ari loves working in the family business and finds great satifaction in using her love for research along with her desire to be hands-on with the action-oriented parts of the company. When she is not working, she loves writing music, attending and filming performances for her favorite NC bands, thrifting and spending time with her friends and family.
